What is nasal irrigation indicated for?
- Nasal obstruction due to excess of mucus. Colds
- Infectious rhinitis caused by viruses and bacteria
- Acute and chronic rhinitis / rhinosinusitis (allergic, atrophic or pregnancy)
- Care after endonasal surgery
- Snoring due to nasal obstruction caused by accumulation of secretions
- Nasal cleansing prior to the administration of intranasal medication.
- Nostril hygiene.
How many times can I use Sinusalt® Device?
The frequency and duration of the cleaning process may vary according to needs. You can irrigate once or twice a day, continuously. For more acute needs, you can irrigate more frequently. If you have any questions about how to use this product, ask your specialist.
Can I use tap water?
Yes, as long as it is drinking water. Use drinking water from a supply network that guarantees the absence of pathogenic micro-organisms. Alternatively, use boiled or sterile water.
The water must we lukewarm (35-39 ºC) to ensure comfort.
From what age can Sinusalt® Device be used?
Sinusalt® Device is recommended for children from 2 years of age under the supervision of an adult.
Can I use table/cooking salt?
It is not recommended. It contains anti-caking agents (ferrocyanide, silica, etc.) and other additives (iodine, fluorine) that are irritating to the delicate nasal mucosa.
The composition of Sinusalt® is a mixture of salts and xylitol. Has been specially formulated for nasal irrigation, has a salt concentration similar to that of the nasal mucosa (isotonic), and is buffered to neutralise changes in the pH of the water used.
The solution with Sinusalt® must be prepared immediately before use because it does not contain preservatives. The *water must we lukewarm (35-39 ºC) to ensure comfort.

Can I use it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes. Nasal irrigation with Sinusalt® does not present any contraindications for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How can I clean the device?
When you have finished the irrigation, open the bottle and rinse the system with clean water. Leave to drain and dry before storing.
If you want to disinfect the system, use commercial products used for the sterilization of baby bottles. Do not boil or put in the dishwasher.
Personal use device. It is recommended to renew the device annually.
Can you save the leftover liquid and use it later?
The preparation of the solution with Sinusalt® should be carried out immediately prior to use, as it does not contain preservatives. The *water temperature should be warm (35-39°C) for comfort.

For complete nasal cleansing, it is recommended to irrigate with the full suggested volume (250 mL).
